The Alter Girls! are
Alicia Duplan and John Linden. They live and work in Houston, Texas in an eighty year old home/studio in a neighborhood in the shadow of Downtown skyscrapers.
Their work ranges from tapestries in a neo-navaho style to found objects, with portraits, landscapes, art cars and politically/socially-conscious pieces filling out the spectrum.
Humor is often used to make uncomfortable subject matter more palatable, while preserving the strength of the message.
The Alter Girls! believe that we can make this world a far better place for everyone.
